Our Story

Elena Holloway is the founder and owner of Astor International School, the first company established within the group. A mother of three, Elena is also a trained doula with a deep passion for early childhood development. Her journey into education began in 2019 when she faced the challenge of expensive and rigid international schooling options for her eldest child. Determined to create a more accessible and flexible alternative, she founded Razum International School, which opened its doors on 19 August 2019 with just 10 students.
Shortly after the school’s launch, the Covid-19 pandemic struck, necessitating an immediate shift to online learning. This challenge became an opportunity, sparking innovation in digital education and leading to the creation of Astor Online Academy.
In 2025, the school, now known as Astor International School, has grown to over 100 students and is actively exploring expansion into new locations and age groups.
Astor International School is licensed by SkillsFuture Singapore under PEI Registration No. 201833962E, with approval for a four-year period from 21 September 2024 to 20 September 2028.
